A researcher in physics, chemistry and biology, Olivier Cochet lives and works in Paris. He has worked at Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne university (2008) and at Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam (2007). After research involving collective phenomena in quantum systems, he presented a dissertation at the Institut Curie (Université Paris VI) about the physics of collective cellular behaviour and its role in living morphogenesis.
