After training in the General Studies Program at the International Center of Photography in New York, Olivia Froudkine (born in Milan in 1974) started out as a photojournalist. She worked with various French and foreign magazines, combining photography, advertising and communication, while at the same time exhibiting her work in New York and in Europe. Involved in a documentary praxis imbued with irony, she casts her sweeping eye over the memory of places, taking us by way of imaginary travel logs and metaphorical reports, as well as exhibit files, into a world disenchanted by the end of exoticism and by global capitalism. Since 2012 she has been living and working in Dubai.
