The French writer Éric Laurrent (born in 1966 in Clermont-Ferrand) lives and works in Paris. He has published a dozen novels with Les Éditions de Minuit, including Coup de foudre (Fénéon prize, 1995), Renaissance italienne (2008), Les Découvertes (Wepler prize, 2011) and Un beau début (Alexandre-Vialatte prize, 2016).
