The philosopher and ethologist Dominique Lestel lives and works in Paris. For several years he has been developing a philosophical anthropology of human/animal relations. He is a lecturer at the École normale supérieure on the Rue d’Ulm and at the Muséum national d’histoire naturelle, and has published, among other titles, Les Origines animales de la culture (Flammarion, 2001), Voyage au bout de l’espèce, with T. Bardini (Dis Voir, 2010), and L’animal est l’avenir de l’homme. Munitions pour ceux qui veulent (encore) défendre les animaux (Fayard, 2010).
