This artist and theoretician of American art and media teaches art history and cultural studies at the School of Contemporary Arts at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. Her most significant books include Enfoldment and Infinity: an Islamic Genealogy of New Media Art (MIT Press, 2010) and The Skin of the Film: Intercultural Cinema, Embodiment and the Senses (Duke University Press, 1999).
